Nintendo Switch 'My Way': Ultra Ball Jigglypuff

Earlier tonight, Nintendo releases back-to-back advertisements that feature "Pokemon: Sword and Shield" and "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," two of the top-grossing Switch games globally, this 2020. Nintendo's YouTube Channel saw the initial release of the ads that show massive gaming and real-life inaccuracies.

Both advertisements are entitled "My Way," signifying the person's track and enjoyment using the Nintendo Switch while playing each different titles. Nintendo's Switch Ad for "Pokemon: Sword and Shield" shows a woman who just came home "after a long day."

The actress plays with "Pokemon" through a Nintendo Switch console that is hooked on the television. The first inaccuracy in this ad shows how easily the woman places the Switch on its TV dock and smoothly removes its control from the console itself.

The most significant "outrageous" scene in this advertisement is when using an "Ultra Ball," a high-rated capsule in the "Pokemon" world mostly used to catch "Legendary Pokemons." YouTube spectators flood the video's comment section that mainly presents how they "lost it" when using the exclusive capsule for a wild "Jigglypuff."

While nothing is wrong to use expensive "Pokeballs" when catching even mere low-level Pokemons, users think that this scene is downright outrageous from the start. Nintendo Switch's back-to-back ad releases feature two different games dropped at the same time.

Nintendo Switch's 'My Way': 'Laughing Watering Can Woman'

Nintendo's second video features the hit-simulation game, "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," that is one of the top-rated and most favorite titles of the year. The advertisement also centers on the "My Way" style of playing the title and even relates it to real-life situations.

The woman in Nintendo's video opens with her home filled with various plants hanged and placed around the proximity. However, when checking one of greenery, a leaf falls off. The next action that the woman did was to immediately pick up her Nintendo Switch console and play "Animal Crossing: New Horizons."

The ad shows the woman playing the game and saying "Atleast my garden's flourising," about the in-game data of the player. This scene received the most bashing from YouTube spectators and their comments towards Nintendo.

A YouTube spectator said that the game promotes "Failing in real life, winning in virtual life," philosophy in the advertisement by Nintendo Switch. Another user said that the "Laughing Salad Woman" now evolves as the "Laughing Watering Can Woman," both from Nintendo's advertisements.

Both of Nintendo's "My Way" advertisements receive bashing and negative comments from YouTubers because of the inaccuracies and unbelievable actions toward gaming. "Ultra Ball Jigglypuff" and "Laughing Watering Can Woman" are born of Nintendo Switch's new ads that promote the gaming console.
