Cyberpunk 2077 x OnePlus 8T Collaboration Review: Can This Phone Save the CD Projekt RED from Hatred?

With CD Projekt RED receiving a whole lot of negative attention due to its highly anticipated game Cyberpunk 2077 that was delayed a lot of times. To make matters worse, they announced the delay on the exact supposed release day which really pissed off their fans. CD Projekt Red, ever since then, has become the topic of much disappointment in the whole gaming community.

Fans can expect the Cyberpunk 2077 x OnePlus 8T collaboration

Despite the negative attention that CD Projekt RED is receiving nowadays, they still continued to try and find ways to market the game and get people to be hyped even more. Although the game was delayed, the iconic Cyberpunk 2077 design as well as the fact that they were able to get Keanu Reeves himself has been reason enough for the game to still be very sought after.

Cyberpunk 2077 has partnered with OnePlus to release a new Cyberpunk 2077 Edition of the said OnePlus 8T over in China. The new OnePlus 8T x Cyberpunk 2077 Edition will feature a redesigned back panel along with a quite massive glass camera island located at the top along with a speckled gray color as its finish with yellow accents and obviously, the prominent Cyberpunk branding.

What's so good about this collaboration? Is it enough to save CD Projekt Red?

According to an article by XDA Developers, although the camera island is located on the Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, the OnePlus 8T is quite bigger than that of the regular version. Along with the series of external designs, the said OnePlus 8T x Cyberpunk 2077 Edition runs the Cyberpunk themed version of the HydrogenOS that is meant to mimic the more futuristic aesthetic of the whole game.

While OnePlus has not particularly made much changes to the actual hardware of the said Cyberpunk Edition device, the company is still offering a load of Cyberpunk-themed goodness within the device along with the exclusive Cyberpunk case as well as a bunch of OnePlus/Cyberpunk themed stickers.

It's also worth noting that this is not the only promotion that Cyberpunk 2077 has done with merch as earlier this year, Microsoft released a customized Cyberpunk Edition of the said Xbox One X and has already been sold quite a couple of times all around the world.

There will only be one variant for the OnePlus 8T x Cyberpunk 2077 Edition and this will be at 12GB+256GB for a total of about $599. The device is currently up for pre-orders on the most popular eCommerce providers in China and will finally go on sale this upcoming November 11. As of the moment, OnePlus has not released information regards the international release date.
