Samsung Galaxy S21 could launch earlier to steal the iPhone 12 fame. Words began to spread that Samsung's next flagship phone will come a month earlier than scheduled.

Reports that surfaced on the internet these past few days suggest that Samsung Galaxy S21 could debut on January 2021. The schedule will come ahead of the original February schedule.

Samsung allegedly plans to steal Apple's fame

As the new release date for S21 spread, rumors also began rolling out about the reason behind its early release. Speculations now spread that Samsung intended to adjust the release date to take advantage of the iPhone 12 release schedules.

Reports say that Samsung could be rushing to establish the S21 market position before Apple's latest device launches. The Korean tech giant reportedly saw Apple's failure to launch the iPhone 12 as the public expected.

Reports also suggest that aside from stealing the spotlight from the iPhone 12, Samsung is also taking advantage of the current Huawei and Google Play services status. Huawei users no longer have access to the Google Play services therefore they cannot enjoy the apps from the Play Store.

Aside from the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, Apple still has two more iPhones coming to the market. It just isn't sure as of the moment if the two upcoming devices will launch together with the 12 series.

According to Toms Guide, this step is a big challenge for Samsung to prove to the mobile industry that it does not fall way behind the iPhone 12 series. However, since reports began to spread that the S21 does not receive many upgrades from its predecessor.

Samsung may boast about the S21 Ultra as mobile lovers' eyes are closely looking forward to the rumored two telephoto lenses, the three times and the ten times. However, the rumored under-display cameras for the S21 is now completely out of the scene.

It is also confirmed that the 65W charging will not launch together with the season's latest Samsung release.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Features and Specifications

As the latest flagship phone from Samsung launches in 2021, followers may expect the device to come with almost similar looks like the S20 as leaks revealed.

Based on the renders previously releases, S21. 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm (9.0mm inclusive of the camera bump). A known leaker revealed that Samsung could ditch off the regular bezel and bring in the blade bezel, The blade bezel is Samsung's way to maximize the screen space by eliminating the thick borders.

According to CNET, Samsung Galaxy S21 will be powered by Qualcomm's' Snapdragon 875 chipset with 16GB of RAM, 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and 4,600 mAh battery. Reports added that that the launch will come with a 5-nanometer chip with 5G modem support.

According to recent renders, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will have a starting price of $699.
