The company manifests its concern on its technology, particularly the new iPhone, that would face controversies when its battery fails due to unofficial charging methods.

The Cupertino-based multinational technology company, Apple, released third-party manufacturers' guidelines to be guided accordingly and produce quality accessories for existing products and devices. The tech company wants manufacturers to follow the guidelines to sell accessories for the iPhone 12 for people's safety and concern.

Do MagSafe Chargers have Magnets in Them?

Editor-in-Chief of Tech Crunch, Matthew Panzarino (@panzer), shares his in-depth review of the iPhone 12's magnet concerning the accessories that come with it. Another user butts in and says that the camera may be affected when using magnetic accessories, particularly the stronger ones. Here, the EIC says that there are magnets in the charger and not just mere metal.

Twitter user Gustavo Fontana (@gustojunk) then discovered the Apple document that shows the magnets' composition and how it is built inside the round case after another Twitter user asks if there are magnets inside. Fontana shares screenshots of the document that shows the magnet's exact placement in the MagSafe charger made by Apple.

Apple's MagSafe charger is the recommended device to replenish the iPhone 12's battery whenever it runs low. It is sufficient to say that this is the safest and most compatible device to charge the iPhone 12 wirelessly. Apple knows best when it comes to their products as they provide the exact accessory to use.

The Apple document that Fontana found shows that a magnet's specific arrangement and force limit should have to be safe for the new iPhone. This particular document is revealed to be the "Accessory Design Guidelines" for Apple devices and products, intended for the public and third-party manufacturers to use.

The support document shows the proper magnet arrangement and a specific limit to the magnetic force observed when building a third-party or non-Apple accessory for the iPhone 12. The guidelines highlight the importance of the proper accompaniment for the Apple smartphone to live longer and function like brand new.

According to Apple's document found on page 84 onwards, the kind of magnet specified is called the "N45SH NdFeB with a 7 µm - 13 µm NiCuNi plating finish (or similar)".

According to Apple Insider, this document serves as a cautionary guideline for third-party manufacturers to closely observe when creating their version of the MagSafe. The battery is one of the most sensitive equipment in a device, allowing the phone to power through while carrying the user's tasks.

Slight miscalculations may cause harm to the iPhone 12 and its owner, which is why it is imperative to comply with Apple's guidelines.
