AMD 3rd Gen EPYC 7713 'Milan' Zen 3 CPU's leaks are now circulating the internet. Speculations suggest that the manufacturer's upcoming product could support an 8-channel memory interface with up to 2 TB total capacity support.

This possible feature could be either LRDIMM or RDIMM flavors. The new chip was first leaked by the SiSoftware database.
According to its report, the new motherboard was featured in the Gigabyte MZ72-HB0-00 server, which showcases support and two SP3 sockets for EPYC chips with TDPs of up to 280W. WCCFTECH also reported that it might have 128 threads and 64 cores.

The leaked data revealed two CPUs were running with 256 threads and 128 cores shown. Each of them has L2's 32 MB and L3 cache's 256 MB for a total of 288 MB cache.
AMD 3rd Gen EPYC 7713's clock speeds were rumored around 2.45 GHz. However, it wasn't clarified if the data were from the boost or base clocks.
EPYC 7713 is expected to have faster clocks
Although the EPYC 7713 is still in its early stage, it is expected to have faster clocks once it reaches its final variant. Why? Because AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU's entire lineup also saw a clock increase, together with 19% IPC improvements.
Four Intel Xeon Platinum CPUs are no match
When it comes to performance, Intel Xeon Platinum (Cascade Lake-SP) system might have trouble since AMD EPYC 7713 'Milan' Zen 3 CPU can easily par or even outperform it.
Although AMD's new motherboard has 2.45 GHz clocks, two of them can destroy not just one but four Intel Xeon Platinum CPUs. As of the moment, the latest CPU is in the fourth position in the Arithmetic tests chart.
It also beat the dual EPYC 7742 'Rome' configurations, which run at much faster 3.39-3.35 GHz clocks. On the other hand, the first place is taken by 4x Intel Xeon Platinum 8280L CPUs, which is only 5% quicker compared to EPYC Milan Zen 3 configuration.
There's no telling when will AMD's EPYC Milan Zen 3 will snatch the top position.
People who are thinking about purchasing AMD or Intel's new motherboards should consider the performance per $ value and the performance per watt that EPYC Milan can provide compared to Cascade Lake-SP.
