General Motors (GM) has shown a first peek of its GMC Hummer EV SUV Version to complement its recently launched pickup truck. Elektrek reported that this took place at the sideline of the Barclay's Automotive Conference, where the carmaker also announced its plans to produce 30 new electric vehicles (EVs) by 2025.

GMC Hummer EV SUV Version Coming Up

While GM didn't elaborate further on the details of the SUV Version, it teased three prototypes during the presentation.

The Hummer EV SUV is expected to feature the same specs and prices as the pickup truck version. We will update this article as soon as new information will be released.

Meanwhile, below are the three main prototypes that GM intends to offer:

HUMMER EV2

Availability: Spring 2024
Price: $79,995
Specs:-It runs at 250+ miles of range and 625 HP-Standard equipment PLUS two-motor drive system

HUMMER EV2X

Availability: Spring 2023
Price: $89,995
Specs:-It runs at 300+ miles of range and 625 HP-HUMMER EV2 standard equipment-Adaptive Air RideExtract Mode2-4 Wheel Steer with CrabWalk

HUMMER EV3X

Availability: Fall 2022Price: $99,995
Specs:-Includes HUMMER EV2X equipment-Three-motor drive system-Torque Vectoring-Watts to Freedom
All these EVs are powered by GM's electric drivetrain technology and Ultium battery.

GM boosts EV spending on autonomous cars by 35% to $27b

CNBC reported that the car maker is spending $27 billion on all electric EVs by 2025. This is $7billion more compared to original plan as announced last March.

The funding boost is in line with its acceleration plan to launch 30 new EVs worldwide.

"We want to lead in this space. We don't just want to participate, we want to lead," GM executive VP Doug Parks said during a press briefing.
