Some time just last week, it was reported that thieves were able to steal a huge quantity of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 GPUs from a particular MSI factory in China. Although the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 available stock is something that a lot of people are looking for, the stolen $336,000 worth of the GPU is still unexpected.

The news initially comes from a particular @GoFlying8 on Twitter who posted what seemingly appeared to be a particular MSI internal document regarding the theft. The post also included commentary coming from a Chinese language website.

The announcement was then OCR scanned through the typical Google Translate and reported by ArsTechnica.

As of the moment, there remains a bit of confusion regarding the theft in a particular English-speaking tech media. The MSI document itself which dated last Friday actually does not state how many cards were practically stolen or what was the given value of these cards.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 stolen

Surrounding the commentary that seems to be coming from a specific Chinese news app, the claims note that the theft was composed of about 40 containers of the given NVIDIA GeForce 3090 RTX for sale. This racked a total value of around $336,000!

If the value reported is correct, and uses the retail price as computation, then it seems like around 224 GPUs were stolen. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 for sale might even command a higher price as the available stock is really low as of the moment.
