2020 is coming to an end, and technology is looking at 2021 for its new releases and offers in the smartphone industry with the introduction of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 chipset that provides better performance than the past releases. The emergence of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon chips for future smartphones has presented a buzz in the industry of Android-powered phones and its future releases.

The American semiconductor manufacturing company, Qualcomm, recently announced its next-generation 5nm ARM-based CPU for smartphones that is mostly marketed to companies that run the Android OS platform. Snapdragon is one of the most popular and widely-used chipsets in the smartphone industry because of its availability and affordable prices. 

The Google Android operating system platform is mostly paired with Qualcomm's Snapdragon from most of its entry-level to flagship variant smartphones. The pairing of Google and Qualcomm has worked well over the years, with its specs even considered good enough for smartphone gaming. 

The 5G Mobile-specialized platform of Snapdragon 888 would mostly focus on bringing power and performance in one, being the flagship chipset and CPU for future Android phones that would release in 2021. The new chip was unveiled last Wednesday, December 2, boasting of its artificial intelligence-reliant framework on its systems.

According to Know Your Mobile. com, Samsung helped in conceptualizing and creating the new 5nm SoC chip by Qualcomm; however, it seems that the South Korean company has other plans for their 2021 Android smartphones. Samsung would soon ditch the Snapdragon and feature its latest Silicon chip, the Exynos.

ASUS ROG Phone 3

Coming in 2021 is the latest ROG brand's take on the Android smartphone, featuring specs and performance that leans into mobile gaming. Speculations have surrounded the soon-to-be-released ASUS ROG Phone 3 would feature the Snapdragon 888. However, its website still says that it holds the 865 chip.

LG V70

The flagship phone from the South Korean electronics maker, LG, would usher in a new V phone era with the V70 sporting the Snapdragon 888. Like the ROG Phone 3, its specs are still saying that it contains the 865, but rumors say that it would soon change to the new 5nm chip.

OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro

According to Tech Radar, the $699 flagship Android smartphone from OnePlus, the 9 and 9 Pro, is now leaked with a release date by 2021, featuring Qualcomm's latest 5nm chip. The smartphone is powerful enough to lineup with gaming phones that still give an elegant look. 

RealMe X3

RealMe's Flagship smartphone would soon update the new Snapdragon 888 chip that features the 5nm SoC for Android. RealMe X3 would continue to provide affordability and high-tech devices with its X series. 

Xiaomi Mi 11

The massive Chinese consumer electronics company would follow up on 2020's release of the Mi Note 10 Pro with top specs and 5G connectivity. The next-in-line smartphone, the Mi 11, is speculated to have the Snapdragon 888 as its main chip to power its flagship.
