Intel was recently surrounded by leaks regarding its Rocket Lake-S SKUs, particularly the flagship Core i9-11900K that would soon release in the first half of 2021 as part of the company's new lineup for desktop computers. The latest CPU that would soon release in 2021 is promising eight cores and a massive 16 threads, one of Intel's most powerful releases yet.

Goodbye ten, hello eleven, with Intel soon debuting the 11th generation Core processors with the codename "Rocket Lake -S" for its CPU processors for desktop computers. The 14nm backport of the famous 10nm Intel Sunny Cove packs itself as a package with the Rocket Lake-S that has Desktop PC builders excited with the company's latest upgrade.

The latest Rocket Lake-S from Intel is one of the company's releases that would significantly have more transistors and components than others. However, this differs from the earlier Core i9-10900K with ten cores and 20 threads, with a larger 20 MB L3 Cache.

According to Notebook Check, Intel's Rocket Lake-S Core i9-11900K would have eight (8) cores and 16 threads, with only 16 MB of L3 cache on its belt. While these numbers may present lower specifications at first glance, Intel assures its future customers and PC builders that the difference in number would not affect performance and would improve on it.

The Rocket Lake-S would expand more on accommodating new technology that would release in 2021, along with the offers from other companies' components and parts. According to the leaks that have surfaced, Intel's processor would have the PL1 of 125 W and PL2 of 250 W.

Intel Rocket Lake-S Clock Speeds, Boosts, Base, and MORE

According to a famous Korean leaker known as (@harukaze5719) on Twitter, the new Intel CPU's base clock speed sees an impressive 3.5 GHz already, which gives the new Rocket Lake-S a strong start for its line. Additionally, A single-core boost Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) clocks in 5.3 GHz, and a 4.8 GHz all-core boost.

Moreover, the leaker's chart also combines the speeds and information from another famous leaker on Twitter.

Twitter's davidbepo (5 GHz overload) (@davidbepo) was the first to deliver the charts that show Intel's Rocket Lake-S SKU and speeds that details the initial performance of the company's new CPUs. Other models include the mid-ranged i7-11700K, and the entry-level i5, 11600K, and 11400. All of the information shared by the leaker is considered to be rumors as of now.

The lower tier processors from Intel, particularly the i5's line, would have improved performance, which shows significant clock speeds compared to its predecessors from the company's Comet Lake releases. On the other hand, the new Rocket Lake-S i7-11700K differs significantly, clocking lower speeds compared to its Comet Lake predecessor, the i7-10700K.

Intel's Rocket Lake-S platform would be based on the popular Cypress Cove system, which combined Ice Lake cores and the Tiger Lake iGPU, packed into a 14nm package. The company promises a massive two-digit percentage increase in its performance.
