Apple Siri will reportedly be adding more features in order to better improve the app's offerings. The new features include certain sounds that might have been asked before but Siri was not able to answer.

Apple Siri new features

According to an article by 9to5mac, Apple claims that it has enhanced its current Siri with about 20 times more facts for answers with the iOS 14 version. Now, the company's digital virtual assistant will learn a few more tricks to add to its catalogue of answers. Users will reportedly soon be able to ask more questions to Siri like asking the app to play animal sounds, vehicle sounds, instruments, and even more!

As previously reported by CNBC, Apple will be adding a few new sounds to its Siri for whenever its users will ask questions like how something sounds. The company stated that there are about a few hundreds of new sound options that the user can play with Siri on the iPad, iPhone, and even the HomePod.

Additional Apple Siri features

Once this particular feature goes live, users will be able to ask Siri to listen to a duck, a train, or even a humpback whale. Siri will then simply play what the user requested sound and even show a few interesting facts about the animal, instrument, or vehicle coming from Wikipedia.

There are a few questions that users can ask Siri with the reported update:

  • Hey Siri, what does a guitar sound like?

  • Hey Siri, what does a dog sound like?

  • Hey Siri, what do ambulances sound like?

These are just examples of what users can ask the app but the new update should include even more options for this app. The new app is said to be more interactive with its users as they can ask more specific questions about animal, vehicle, or even instrument sounds.

While it is said that some users have already been asking Siri to play these particular sounds, it is known that several other users have actually reported on their social networks that they have not yet been able to ask Siri for these new sounds. These sounds can be accessed very simply.

How to access the new sounds on Siri

In order to access these sounds, Apple states that it will require iOS 14.3 in order for it to work. Even without the newest version of this particular operating system installed, some users have reportedly not been able to access the new sounds.

Users might have to wait until Apple officially announces that it has fixed this particular feature. As of the moment, the feature can be accessed by some who have updated their iOS but others are still struggling to work it out. The good news is that the article by 9to5mac confirms that the new sounds will presumably be rolling out to more users and that they should become available to every single user in only a matter of days.
