Samsung Galaxy S21 is making some buzz on the internet! However, if this new smartphone gets this feature, then Samsung Galaxy Note 21 could not reach the market and will only be in people's imaginations.
Rumors stated that the Samsung Galaxy Note series could completely end in 2021. According to TechRadar's latest report, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 has a high chance of being compatible with the smartphone manufacturer's S Pen, its stylus technology.
This innovation could give the company an idea of not releasing Note 21 at all. TM Roh, Samsung's head of Mobile Communications business, claimed that the company is focusing on its customers' favorite aspects of the Galaxy Note experience.
However, Roh also added that Samsung is also planning to add Note series' features to some of its current devices and other upcoming smartphones. This could heavily suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will also have the S Pen stylus.
Samsung Note series cancelled?
Many leaks and reports suggested that Samsung is considering to stop its Galaxy Note series production and development. What makes this lineup different from other Samsung smartphones is its compatibility with the S Pen stylus.
However, leaks suggest that it'll also be included as an add-on for certain upcoming devices. These include the future foldable phones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the flagship Galaxy S series.
However, a Samsung official suggested that the company will still continue the production of its Note series. But, if both S21 and Note 21 will support the S Pen stylus, then what will be Note 21's defining feature?
The Samsung Galaxy Note series is considered the bigger sibling of the Galaxy S series. Its base model helped the larger smartphones enter the mainstream. Although they'll have the stylus technology, both of the upcoming smartphones will still have different aspects and features that'll give them the upper hand over one another.
Samsung S21's specs
A leak revealed the possible specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy 21. GSM Arena reported that the new smartphone could have the Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which will give it 515 PPI pixel density and 1440+ resolution. Samsung could also stick with 120 Hz as the top refresh rate.
The rumor also stated that the phone's display will be super bright since it'll have peak brightness up to 1,600 nits. It will also have the screen protection Gorilla Glass Victus, which is one of the top brands.
