Tesla CEO Elon Musk arrives at federal court, April 4, 2019 in New York City. A federal judge will hear oral arguments this afternoon in a lawsuit brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that seeks to hold Musk in contempt for violating a settlement deal.

The company explained that if Tesla's EVs doesn't require an expensive energy source, its renewable energy-fueled car's cost is cheaper!

As of the moment, Telsa is considered the most valuable car manufacturer. However, a new competitor is rising. Anand Mahindra developed a desi vehicle that could give the American electric car company a run for its money.

On the other hand, Tesla offers great features, such as low harmful exhaust emissions. But, the EV manufacturer needs to sell the actual car at a very expensive price. Anand Mahindra now claims it can give what Tesla can't provide.

Tesla's new competitor

According to NDTV's latest report, Anand Mahindra posted a tweet that its new product can compete or even beat Tesla.

"I don't think @elonmusk & Tesla can match the low cost of this renewable energy-fuelled car. Not sure about the emissions level, though, if you take methane into account.." it captioned via its official account.

Although the tweet seems like a joke, many users took it negatively. One of the commentators said that the new technology will only make the animals suffer.

Another one said that it is promoting cruelty. Right now, the tweet has more than 300,000 views, 25,000 likes, 3,000 retweets, and 800 comments.

Elon Musk has another competitor upcoming

On the other hand, Elon Musk's real competitor is just arriving. Forbes previously reported that Apple could be a real threat to Tesla.

The giant iPhone manufacturer suddenly decided to enter the EV market by developing its own electric car. Apple's Project Titan car project is expected to be finished by 2024. TSLA TSLA +0.9% shares were sold off and Apple shares were bid, but let's not forget about the "legacy" automakers.

As of the moment, there are no reports yet stating what the upcoming Apple car would look like or what features it could offer. However, since the company is well known for its high-end technology, there's a high chance that it could also create an electric vehicle that could match Elon Musk's EVs.
