"Genshin Impact's" update version 1.2 has already given new lengths and missions for the popular role-playing game (RPG), expanding the map through the Dragonspine update, and bringing "A Land Entombed" quest. The quest requires players to look for specific journals in various locations including Secret Chambers and South Base Camp that proves to be a puzzle to locate.

One of Dragonspine update's largest quest chain is "A Land Entombed," giving players an expansive new mission to test their abilities and skills in accomplishing certain mysteries in the game. The new quest chain is focused on different locations, but this guide would cover two of the most challenging locations for the journal finding a task.

'Genshin Impact': Starting 'A Land Entombed' Quest for Both Locations

To start the quest chain in both locations, one would have to approach Hertha in Mondstadt, who is known as the coordinator for the Knights of Favonius.

The cold weather can damage players and take Sheer Cold damage, so it is important to always bring their Pyro character or a Warming Bottle in hand. To get a warming bottle, players need to level up the Frostbearing Tree to Level 4 that requires numerous Crimson Agate.

Head into the cold and use the teleport feature to proceed to the waypoint that is near the Starglow Cavern in the new Dragonspine Region. This location is the nearest to the lost journals. From the waypoint, head east and through the hole, then keep heading in the same direction. Look for the curved path that will lead you to the south where there are ice blockades that needs smashing.

Smashing the ice will show a path that will lead directly to the South Base Camp where a Precious Chest awaits, along with two other boxes to the left and right. The loot is for gamers for the taking, including Primogems and the lost journal.

Return to the base camp using the Windwail Highlands Teleportation Waypoint and talk to Stevens who will give the next quest. Along the way, it is recommended to kill many enemies to receive the Rime-Worn Fragments and Crystals that are needed for the Chalk Prince and the Dragon event.

Start the quest with Hertha to receive the go signal and use the "Genshin Impact" Waypoint used in South Base Camp location. Choose the location near Starglow Cavern and head southwest towards the hill. Head down and look for an ice pool with pyres in each of its corners.

Seelie Pyre Puzzle

Two of the pyres are unlit, and therefore makes the ice pool frozen. To remove these, chase both seelies towards the pyre that has no light to melt the ice.

First Puzzle

  • First, chase the Seelie in the middle of the western pyre.
  • Next, run across the pool and head to the southern Seelie to chase it off towards the southern pyre.

Second Puzzle

Another ice layer is underneath the first and also needs to solve a puzzle to proceed. The seelies here need to be moved in a clockwise position, which poses a more challenging puzzle for players.

  • Start on the western part of the pyre and move each Seelie towards their respective pyres to light up.

After unlocking the second layer, a Ruin Guard will awake and attack players. The Ruin Guard is in Elite Level 71, which is also another challenge to defeat. The chest would appear after defeating the guard in the location, concealing the next journal.

Loot, the journal, and Mora would be given by the chest.
