Xbox Games Pass is referred to as Microsoft's 'Netflix for games.' It is a gaming subscription service, which provides players access games from different publishers in just one monthly subscription price.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft+, formerly known as UPlay+, is the developer's own subscription service for the games, which gives players access to more than 100 Ubisoft titles. However, Tech Radar reported about rumors of a merger of these services is possible with Ubisoft Plus games on Xbox coming in 2021.

Although it is still currently a rumor, many gamers already love the game variation that Xbox Games Pass may offer. With around 200 curated titles, it also gives players a chance to go out of their gaming comfort zone as their membership already includes the games.

According to Xbox Worlds, Ubisoft Plus and Xbox Games Pass could soon be bundled, but there is no solid proof to back up the claim yet. Current subscribers of Xbox Game Pass already have gaming list such as Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed, and FarCry. In case the recently-released Assassin's Creed Valhalla would be included in the bundle with a next-gen upgrade for Xbox Series X, many deal would certainly attract more players.

Will the Ubisoft Plus Games- Xbox bundle be true?

A Game Rant report noted that Windows Central's Jez Corden, a noted industry insider, seemed to support the rumor, which gives it more credibility. Corden said that he imagined it would be a vault of older games, "but crazier things" seemed to happen. "I always thought EA Play would be an extra tier of Game Pass, but they just rolled that bad boy right in. Guess we'll see," said Corden on his tweet.

However, fans should still take the information with a grain of salt since there is still no official announcement from both Ubisoft and Microsoft.

It can also be noted that it is not the first time Xbox has integrated the services of other developers as subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate are now enjoying much wider range of new games since November as EA Play entered the Xbox ecosystem with no added cost. These include notable titles like Titanfall 2, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is a premium subscription that offers numerous bonus contents and greater services to offer such as the addition packs in Anthem, FIFA 20, The Sims games as well as more titles made under the expansive EA banner.

Ubisoft partnership with other businesses

Meanwhile, if this rumor turns out to be true, we are looking into Ubisoft's future business model. Recently, Amazon announced its partnership with Ubisoft for its new product Amazon Luna, which sets to compete against Google Stadia. It would become the first channel to be integrated into Amazon's new service, which seems to show Ubisoft's shift to streaming and subscriptions for its overall business plan.

Also, Xbox announced earlier this year that Game Pass subscribers can have xCloud access available on PC and iOS in spring, which would allow players to stream games. If the Ubisoft Plus rumor is true, players may look forward to playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla on mobile without downloading.
