WhatsApp has arguably been the most popular among the three different messaging apps namely WhatsApp, Signal, and Telegram. However, things might change as WhatsApp is now requiring its members to share their information with Facebook or risk having their accounts permanently deleted.

Well, it seems like some of the users took this as a major turnoff and are currently looking for alternatives to the once popular messaging app. As of the moment, there are two things that can be compared: WhatsApp VS Telegram and WhatsApp VS Signal.

While WhatsApp VS Telegram is something that people might be more familiar with, WhatsApp VS Signal started to kick off even more once the currently richest person in the world, Elon Musk, announced Signal as an alternative to WhatsApp. This was reported by LiveMint which noted how the billionaire said "Use Signal" as a supposed alternative for WhatsApp.

Is Telegram better than WhatsApp?

According to an article by, there is actually not much difference when it comes to both WhatsApp and Telegram when it comes to quality of the app. However, the article did mention something that can be taken as a light for Telegram as it details that for users whose main concern is privacy or for those users that kind of wish not to go mainstream, Telegram would be a good choice for them to use.

Is Telegram safer than WhatsApp? For those users' whose main priority is privacy, there are a few features that Telegram has which focuses mainly on the users' privacy. How is Telegram app different from WhatsApp? These features include things like how Telegram users will be able to receive notifications for other people taking screenshots of their messages and their own secret chat also cannot be forwarded. This would keep private messages safe.

Which is better WhatsApp or Signal?

Elon Musk suggests Signal private messenger and this alone is actually a pretty hard selling point but there is actually another person who has suggested this messaging app as well. According to an article by Tech Radar, Edward Snowden himself, has noted Signal as his favorite messaging tool and it even has links to WhatsApp as Brian Acton, WhatsApp's co-founder, has helped develop the Signal Foundation for promoting private messaging.

Why is Signal more secure than WhatsApp? The hardest selling point of Signal is that it is not only free, but it is also an open source project which means that there is virtually "no chances" of anything or anyone able to creep into the code. This particular non-profit organization also points out that there is absolutely no ads, no affiliate marketing, and also no creepy tracking.

WhatsApp or Telegram or Signal?

At the end of the day, it really depends on users whether to continue using WhatsApp despite its push on users to share their data to Facebook or get their accounts permanently suspended. However, for those that don't like the idea of sharing their data or being forced to share their data with Facebook, there are two other alternatives namely Signal and Telegram that are known to keep user conversations safe.
