Despite featuring historical details and somehow real-life related content, the game has evolved into a more fictional take by incorporating myths, legends, and supernatural powers.
According to IGN, the boss would appear in "The Big Finish" storyline arch, in which users would meet "The Builder," who will then betray Odin and Asgard.

"The Builder" is a frost giant from Jotunheim, a fictional kingdom where it is always snowing from the Norse Mythology, a part of the Yggrasil, Nine Realms neighbor to both Asgard and Midgard (Earth). The boss promises to create a shield for Asgard's protection against Ragnarok (Asgard's fictional end).
After Eivor discovers the betrayal, it would prompt a story progression where the main character would take on the frost giant on his home tower.
The Builder Boss Battle: First Phase Hacks
The boss battle would be split into two phases, and the first one would be easy and relatively passable by using basic attacks and dodges. Conserve health, skills, perks, etc., for the second phase, which would bring a challenge to players.
'The Builder' has two attack moves in the First Phase, with the first one being a hammer melee attack in which the frost giant swings from the back of its head. Avoid and retaliate with a counterattack. The second move he makes leaves behind glowing interaction elements that could grant bonus damage or stuns to the boss.
After sustaining heavy damage and nearing its defeat, "The Builder" would throw a special magic attack that can knock the character airborne. The frost giant would raise its hammer, indicating the attack location, which can be easily dodged to reveal the weak spot for a final blow.

The boss' weak spot is the head, which can be easily attacked using a bow and arrow or other ranged weapons. The Builder would be knocked for a chance to hit it with melee. After significantly damaging the boss, there would be a cutscene that reveals his next power.
The Builder would trap Eivor in a circle where it can continuously send a barrage of attacks. Either dodge these attacks, wait for the circle to disappear, or fight him head-on (high risk). Aim for the weak spot and continuously grab the glowing orbs to deal bonus damage or stuns until emptying the giant's health.
