Sony just unveiled a black PS5 model since the fans were asking for it for a long time. The new gaming gadget will soon be released to the public.

However, this version will still function and will have the same features that the white PlayStation 5 has. The only difference between them is their exterior with design flourishes.

The exterior design of the new PS5 model would be black. The new Retro Inspired PS5 was invented by the company SUP3R5.

It is also the company that brought the original concept. SlashGear explained that what the company did was remove all the external parts and retain the internal hardware so that the new console would still function the same as the white PS5.

How much is the new black PS5?

As of the moment, if you visit the official website of SUP3R5, you'll see that the new Retro Inspired PlayStation 5 currently costs $649. According to SUP3R5's official website, there are only limited units, the item will be shipped in late spring of 2021, and the deal includes the black console and controller with colorized logo inserts.

"Our Retro Inspired PlayStation 5 Consoles begin life as a new PlayStation 5," said the company via its official website.

"The SUP3R5 team carefully applies the retro-inspired design to each unit by hand, a tedious process that is performed with the utmost attention to detail and quality," added SUP3R5.

Now the question is, is it a legit offer or just a scam? Right now, there is no confirmation yet if the offer is real or fake.

What you need to know

Before you make any move to purchase the new exciting item, there are a few things you need to remember. SUP3R5's current offer is not an unauthorized special edition iteration.

Its retro-inspired PS5 is also under no warranty. This means that if you really bought the item and it is damaged, there's nothing else you can do but accept it.  This goes the same with the DualSense controller.

If you're one of the interested individuals, then you are gambling your $649. However, it is still your choice if you want to purchase one. If the offer is true, then you can just wait until the new black PS5 arrives at your doorsteps.

A Reddit user already posted about SUP3R5's deal. He is also asking what the legitimacy of the offer is. One of the commentators even asked how the company will produce more than 300 black PS5s if other retailers are always out of stock. It's still on you if you want to get it or not.
