"Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" may not be as choice-heavy as other games, but it does have several choices that you'll have to make throughout the game, with a few that could potentially change the way Eivor's story goes, oftentimes connected to Sigurd in some kind of way.

All ' Assassin's Creed: Valhalla' Choices

Nevertheless, compared to other games, the choices in "AC Valhalla" doesn't have the obvious right or wrong tone and is more about how you want Eivor to react, as per PCGamer.

With that, here's a guide of all the choices you have to make in-game thus far, in roughly chronological order, but be reminded that the following guide will contain MAJOR SPOILERS, so continue reading at your own risks!

Banish or kill Gorm?

The first choice you'll make will begin early on while you're still in Norway. After defeating Kjotve, you'll hunt his son, Gorm. You'll be given three choices:

  • Kill him
  • Banish him
  • Let King Harald decide

Gorm will have the same fate no matter what you choose, but banishing him will cause King Harald to commend you, saying that a quick death will be too easy for someone like Gorm, so in the end, he is banished and left to fend for himself in the wild.

Take or leave resources?

During the "Seas of Fate" quest and just before you set for England, you'll be faced with one of the biggest choices you'll have to make in-game and will be asked if you will take the resources taken from the Kjotve raid or you will leave them for Styrbjorn.

While taking the resources might sound better, you'll want to leave them for Styrbjorn as you'll still get 300 supplies and 20 raw materials for your journey.

But most of all, you'll end up pleasing Sigurd and Styrbjorn.

Soma's traitor

Some choices will allow you to dig a little to choose the right answer.

During the Grantebridgescire story arc, you'll have to complete the "Stench of Treachery" quest where you have to investigate who betrayed Soma. The choices are:

  • Lif
  • Birna
  • Galinn

You can choose to accuse any of them without doing proper investigation, but investigating is the best way to pinpoint the real traitor, and while it may be a little long, you'll end up determining Galinn as the traitor.

He will be executed, while Birna will join Eivor's clan as a warrior.

Kill or spare Leofrith?

After beating Leofrith during the "Heavy is the Head" quest in the Ledecestrescire story arc, you will be given the choice to either kill or spare him.

You might be tempted to kill him but once you do, Zealots will now be actively looking for you, making "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" a far thrilling game as you take down the Zealots one by one, but sparing him is the best choice in exchange for a secret and unlocking the "Hunted" quest.

Is violence the answer?

Some choices are obvious, while some are not.

While in the Oxenefordescire story arc, you'll have to complete the "Blood from a Stone" quest and along the way, Eivor will lose his temper and start a fight with Sigurd and Basim.

There are three sets of options and it appears that at least one of them will affect the ending you get.

For the first set, you can choose either of the answers, but once prompted, choose "Take a breath" as the answer, and then finally, choose "Enough of this" as the third choice--however, it's quite unsure how punching Sigurd will affect the ending, so choose to punch Basim and Sigurd at your own risk.

Exile Lady Eadwyn?

Once you defeat Lady Eadwyn during "The Saga Stone" questline, you'll have the choice to exile Lady Eadwyn or let Geadric look after her.

You can choose any of the choices as it appears that your choices won't matter and you won't see her again.

The Vault's identity

The Vault is one of the members of the Order of the Ancients and you'll be tasked to uncover the Vault's identity during the "Closing the Vault" quest along the Jorvik story arc. The Vault is one of the four options:

  • Audun
  • Ricsige
  • Hjorr
  • Faravid

As with Soma's traitor, you can do a little digging to help you uncover The Vault's identity, but regardless of who you accuse, the same "AC Valhalla" cutscene will play and you'll have to assassinate the Vault.

Nevertheless, if you want to choose the correct character, it's Audun.

The 'War Weary' silver

Some of the choices will not matter at all, but will depend on what you feel is right.

In the "War Weary" quest, you'll have to follow Ceolbert to a cathedral, where you have to choose who to give 650 silvers to in order to bring peace. The options are:

  • Lady Angharad
  • Ynyr
  • Gwriad
  • Ivarr
  • Have Eivor keep the silver

Regardless of who you choose, the outcomes will be the same, so your best choice is to let Eivor keep the silver.

'King Killer' quest choices

During this particular quest in the Sciropescire arc story, you'll have two choices you'll eventually encounter.

The first one does not seem to affect the story in any way, so you can choose whatever you want, but after returning to Quatford, you'll meet Ubba and when prompted, choose to tell him Ivarr died badly.

Dag and his axe

Of all the "AC Valhalla" choices so far, this is the point that can significantly alter the "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" ending you'll get, so choose carefully. This happens sometime after returning to Ravensthorpe during "The Brewing Storm" quest.

After battling Dag, you can either give him his axe back or deny it.

If you want to see an alternate ending, you should deny Dag the axe that forbids him entry to Valhalla, a pretty low move for Viking standards. But if you don't want to risk it, let him enter Valhalla by giving him his axe back.

Do you romance Randvi?

There are several romance options in "AC Valhalla," and one of them is Randvi, who will appear during the "Taken for Granted" quest. Soon, she will admit her feelings for Eivor and you can respond with the following:

  • I feel the same way
  • Now is not the right time
  • I care for you as a friend.

This point can also significantly change the ending you'll get, so choose wisely.

If you choose the first option, you'll end up negatively affecting the ending as Sigurd will find out that you slept with Randvi, but you do get to romance her. Choosing the second option will give you a chance to romance Randvi later on when she and Sigurd break up so as not to risk the ending.

With that, the best option is to choose "I care for you as a friend."

Rollo's betrayer

During the Essexe story arc, in the "Old Wounds" quest, you'll have to uncover who betrayed Rollo, and as always, you can do a little digging up that can help you accuse the right person.

The choices are:

  • Gerhild
  • Lork

If you find it hard to find the right answer, the traitor is Gerhild.

The new ealdorman

In "Where the Stone Falls," you will have to help choose the next ealdorman from three choices:

  • Hunwald
  • Aelfgar
  • Herefrith

When prompted, choose either Aelfgar or Hunwald to anger Herefrith and allowing him to reveal himself as a Bishop in the Order of the Ancients. Eivor can then track him down and ultimately execute him.

Halfvad or Faravid?

At the end of the Eurviscire story arc during the "Bloods and Bonds" quest, you need to choose between Halfvad and Faravid, which will be one of the hardest choices in "AC Valhalla."

Nevertheless, when prompted, choose "Stand down or fight me, Faravid," where you have to fight him and ultimately gets killed by Halfvad, but you'll secure an alliance with Eurviscire.
