Asus has recently released two different Mobile Suit Gundam-themed wifi wireless gaming routers. The new models are said to take inspiration from two of the most popular models ever, the RX-78-2 and the Zaku II. These two routers are designed to cater to serious gamers that are looking for fast and reliable wireless connection.

ASUS 'Gundam' wifi gaming routers

According to an article by Hypebeast, the wireless gaming routers by ASUS starts with the RT-AX82U GUNDAM Edition, this particular router will feature four external antennae with next-gen wireless LAN standard WiFi 6, running at 802.11ax, support, 1.5GHz triple-core Broadcom 6750 CPU, AiMesh compatibility, and even the 256 MB flash/512 MB RAM Memory. This all comes with ultra-high-speed transfer rate reaching 574Mbps.

Taking things to the next level is the new Zaku II "Char Aznable" or RT-AX86U router that is packed with all of the features that were mentioned above but is actually more powerful in some areas as it has increased 1.8GHz quad-core Broadcom 4908 CPU, faster communication rate of 861Mbps, 256MB flash or 1GB RAM memory.

Both the routers are said to have a "Mobile Game Mode" and that is said to be specifically made for powerful gaming along with the smartphone or the tablet running on lower latency and also reducing lag. ASUS HK posted a Tweet showing the Zaku II wireless gaming router in its aggressive red glory.

As of the moment, the details regarding this wireless gaming router are only available on the ASUS japan page and the router starts off by saying "Your Winning Choice for Mobile Gaming!" The posting says that ASUS is now introducing a brand new Wi-Fi wireless router that plays around with the motif of the official Earth Federation Forces mobile suit known as the "RX-78-2 Gundam"! Which is a WiFi6 4804 + 574Mbps model that allows players to enjoy high-speed as well as stable gameplay with its very own dual-brand Wi-Fi gaming wireless router.

In addition to this, the company is also launching the ASUS Router app called the "Mobile Game Mode" as well as a sortie in a really comfortable online game environment aimed to eliminate both lag and low latency. The wireless gaming router is said to run on the latest wireless standard of WiFi 6 which uses 802.11ax performance aimed to greatly improve the gamers' network environment.
