For the previous few months, certain PS5 resellers have been making life harder and harder for some would-be console owners. As an underlying result, those that are buying the console in order for them to flip and get a much higher profit have now been receiving quite a lot of hatred coming from PlayStation fans. Some of them have even reported receiving death threats.

PS5 scalpers try to save reputation

However, these particular resellers actually believe that they are now just being simply misunderstood. In an actual effort to improve their own reputations, a pair of the heated PS5 resellers spoke to Forbes. The pair wanted to reportedly share their side of the story. One of them was named Jordan and tried to attempt to explain why they actually believe that it's perfectly okay to sell the console in order to gain a significant profit.

According to the story reported by ComicBook, Jordan then told Forbes that essentially, every single business actually resells their own products. Tesco, as an example, actually buys milk coming from farmers for around 26p ($36) per liter then later on sells them as an upward of 70p ($97) per liter. He then noted that no one ever seems to complain to that extent as they were actually just doing towards themselves.

Every business has resellers

Of course, the article noted that supermarkets don't use bots in order to get a hold of exclusivity in order to sell milk which is something resellers like Jordan are doing. While a number of resellers try to rationalize their practices by proceeding to draw some comparisons, some of the others have attempted to showcase what other "potential benefits" there are.

Another reseller who goes by the name of Regan even noted to Forbes that these particular resell groups can actually help people make a little extra money for themselves. He then noted that "we do a lot for charity" stating that he himself or even collectively as a whole group actually donates to charity almost every month at this point.

PS5 scalpers claim they donate to charity

Regan then told Forbes that over the course of the past month, they were actually able to donate a large portion of their said membership fees to a certain foodbank that was located near them. Forbes also noted that Regan still did not give any specifications as to where the charities were.

It will also reportedly be interesting to be able to see when the particular situation surrounding the other PS5 consoles would improve. Sony is now still struggling to be able to keep up with the demand and the existence of resellers are also exacerbating that problem. In the end, this would still really hurt the given PlayStation brand by blocking access of the PS5 to those gamers who can't afford to pay just what the groups are reportedly charging.
