According to The Next Web's latest report, the LTSC or Long-Term Servicing Channel version of Microsoft Office is important for businesses that don't have proper access to internet connectivity. It allows them to access Microsoft's popular service through their local systems.

This is a great innovation from Microsoft, especially to those organizations and companies that prefer using their local systems.

Microsoft Office LTSC's possible features

The Verge stated that the giant software company hasn't released its new Office 2021's features and changes. However, the company confirmed that it will have dark mode support, Dynamic Arrays, XLOOKUP in Excel, accessibility enhancements, and other features that will improve customers' experience.

Some rumors stated that there could be no major UI changes in the upcoming Microsoft Office LTSC. Although the new Dark Mode option is the most obvious visual change, Microsoft will still focus more on its service's interface, as well as cloud-powered features on the Microsoft 365 versions of the new Office 2021.

Microsoft's current innovation suggests that the company will release the new Office LTSC since there are still some companies and businesses that are not ready to move to cloud service.

"It's just a matter of trying to meet customers where they are," said Microsoft 365's Head Jared Spataro via The Verge.

"We certainly have a lot of customers that have moved to the cloud over the last 10 months, that's happened en masse really," he added.

Spataro also explained that they discovered that there are still some of their customers who don't want to move to the cloud service.

Office LTSC's other details

The upcoming Microsoft LTSC Office version will now be supported for only seven years. This is a major change since the previous Microsoft supported the previous Office versions for seven years. The price for the upcoming office version will still be the same. On the other hand, other Microsoft services such as Office Standard, Office Professional Plus, and other individual apps will have their prices increased by 10% for commercial consumers.
