Local tech startup Ziotag has been chosen by the New York Distance Learning Association (NYDLA) to use its AI expertise in optimizing viewer experience for the "Coffee in the Clouds" video podcast program, Mar. 2.

NYDLA, the leading association in the United States for remote work, distance and digital learning, and collaboration association, has tapped Ziotag to enhance the discovery, navigation, and viewing of its video podcast series. The strategic partnership will benefit NYDLA - with more than four million users - with smarter access to its content, helping users navigate and land on the most relevant content they need.

Using AI to Elevate 'Coffee in the Clouds'

Ziotag is set to leverage its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, automatically tagging and classifying every new video podcast intended for NYDLA members looking for the latest cutting-edge technology and distance learning strategies. Its AI platform divides a video podcast into chapters and sections - each being called a "Ziotag." These tagged parts allow users to immediately navigate toward the specific content they need in response to a keyed-in search query.

Using Ziotag, enterprises can now catalog and seamlessly offer important sections within video files for users after a particular content. The Ziotag AI engine creates highly relevant and extremely accurate search results by crawling within every video and creating a natural structure to its content, generating what is essentially a table of contents that guides its inquiry response. Basically, the AI-powered video podcast episodes from the NYDLA are turned into shareable, reusable, and accessible materials that, for the users, are intuitive and interactive.

"Ziotag is transforming the way that enterprises tag, classify, share, and watch educational and business content," said Ziotag CEO and co-founder Jeffrey Paul. " It is improving the way that people interact with content and it delivers a more satisfying viewing experience. Partnering with NYDLA validates our vision and accelerates our growth."

In the "new normal" following the global coronavirus pandemic, both content creators and audiences are starting to appreciate how distance learning technology - video, videoconferencing, and other online collaboration dashboards - are taking over conventional information roads. Ziotag is one of the innovators helping society keep up with the increasing demands of remote work and learning.
