And now, Elon Musk confuses his fans again after he posted a question using a very unfamiliar term.

"Carnot efficiency of the Universe?" he asked via his official Twitter account.

His latest tweet, which was posted on Mar. 8, was able to generate more than 5,000 retweets, 117,000 likes, and 480 quote tweets.

Since the "Carnot efficiency" is not a usual term on Twitter and other social media platforms, many users are currently confused.

One of them said that the term Elon Musk said is quite complex and difficult to understand.

If you are one of the confused followers of the Tesla founder, here are some possible explanations so you will have an idea of what is actually Carnot efficiency in the universe.

What is Carnot efficiency?

According to Entrepreneur's latest report, some of Elon Musk's fans explained what the meaning of Carnot efficiency is. One of them said that it is the theoretical maximum efficiency one can get when the heat engine is operating between being too cold and too hot.

This simply means that Carnot efficiency is the optimal amount of heat that can turn into useful work. This heat energy specifically comes from a heat engine that runs between two temperatures.

Aside from these theories, other Twitter fans of Elon Musk also said their own explanation regarding the meaning of Carnot efficiency.

Another fan said that the Carnot efficiency of the universe is 0.99. Why? Because the Big Bang had a temperature estimated at 1,000 trillion degrees C, while the universe sits at 2.73 K during the speculated explosion.
