'Hunt: Showdown' 1.5 Version: Game Developer Crytek Adds Improvements, New Content, and Refined Playstyle

The latest "Hunt: Showdown" 1.5 version is headed to consoles. The latest update brings a lot of anticipated changes, improvements, and features to the game.

Fans of the video game have been waiting patiently for this huge update for months now, as update 1.5 for "Hunt: Showdown" was delayed in 2020.

According to Reddit, PC players have received update 1.5 in February, but now consoles players are finally able to enjoy the latest content of the game.

Update 1.5 for "Hunt: Showdown" was launched for PC through a test server, and it came with numerous features. That same content is now available on game consoles.

According to GameRant, update 1.5 includes a few new weapons and a lever-action Winfield 1887 Terminus shotgun, which could be a game-changer on consoles.

The biggest addition to "Hunt: Showdown" is the custom ammunition feature, which allows video game players to alter their ammo and do anything from adding Dragonbreath shotgun shells down to putting Poison Ammo on rifles.

Maintenance will take place on all consoles on Mar. 18 at 9:00 C.E.T, and version 1.5 of the game will go live as soon as the maintenance is complete.

Aside from the 1.5 update for consoles, PC players will also get a smaller 1.5.0.2 update after the maintenance on Mar. 18 at 10:30 C.E.T.

So what is on this update that is not known yet? Fans believe that Crytek will just make small adjustments and fix the glitches. But the team could also be preparing for the new boss and The Crow Files Event that the gaming company revealed.

The Crow Files Event is supposed to take place next week. All signs point to the event as introducing a new crow boss, something else that Crytek has been hinting at for some time now.

"Hunt: Showdown" is out now for PS4, PC and Xbox One.

What is 'Hunt: Showdown' about?

"Hunt: Showdown" is a multiplayer first-person shooter with two gameplay modes. In Bounty Hunt expansion, the player plays as a bounty hunter who hunts down mythical monsters to get a bounty.

Game players can play on their own or could play in pairs. They will need to find clues about the location of the mythical monsters in several maps presented.

Each map functions as an open world that is filled with other environmental dangers and enemies like zombies. As the player collects clues, the location of the monster's lair is narrowed down. The game has three monsters, including a giant spider, butcher, and an assassin.

Players can use different weapons ranging from shotguns to crossbows to defeat their enemies, but since the amount of ammo is scarce, players are forced to rely on weapons like knives and machetes when facing lesser foes.

The game has a second mode labeled Quickplay, a battle royale mode that lasts for 15 minutes. In each match, the game players are tasked to activate all four energy wellsprings in a map and fend off the hostile attacks.
