According to New Atlas' latest report, the innovation was confirmed by Facebook Reality Labs or FRL, which also developed the current Oculus Quest 2 wireless headsets. Facebook has been working on its next-level wrist-mounted controller.

The manufacturer said that it could read neural impulses as they go down your arm. Facebook also claimed that it doesn't require you to make strong movements when lifting your fingers. What it needs is the user's intention of moving their hands, which can be identified through the pulse.

The New Atlas YouTube channel also released a video to show how accurate the upcoming Facebook AR wrist controller is.

Aside from its ultra-nerve-sensitive capability, it also offers what Facebook calls intelligent click. This feature allows the users to click on a menu by softly moving their fingers.

On the other hand, the upcoming Facebook AR wrist controller's interface could also adapt based on contextual information, as stated by Yahoo Finance. This includes queuing a playlist when you are going for a jog or any kind of exercise.

As of the moment, the new AR gadget is still under development. Facebook hasn't released the specific date of its launch. However, some rumors claimed that its consumer-level version could still take years before it can be completed.
