Having the black screen issue might be one of the worst scenarios you can encounter, especially if you are live streaming your "Valorant" match. As of the moment, Riot hasn't released any statement yet regarding the ongoing in-game issue.

Since the game publisher hasn't released any fixes yet, some players were able to find some effective methods and solutions that work pretty well with the current black screen startup issue. To help you further, here are some fixes you can try:

Fixing "Valorant" black screen issue

According to Dot Esports' latest report, there are various methods you can try to solve the current game problem. Experts explained that this issue is most likely caused by software bugs created by your graphics driver, especially if your hardware is an older version as they may cause game glitches.

This could happen since older drivers can't run the latest features and other changes that Riot releases in "Valorant."

One of the most effective methods to use is buying newer versions of graphics drivers. On the other hand, you can also change your PC's environment variable. To do this, all you need to do is follow these exact steps:

1. Click on the Start button and search for Environment Variables.
2. Click on Edit the System Environment Variables.
3. Navigate to the Advanced tab and select Environment Variables.
4. Choose New under System Variables toward the bottom right side of the tab.
5. Type or paste OPENSSL_ia32cap as the Variable Name.
6. Paste or type "~0x200000200000000" (without the quotation marks) for the Variable Value and click OK.

Fixing 0xc0000005 error 

On the other hand, "Valorant" players are also suffering from another issue with the error code 0xc0000005.

This error message refers to the error code used to determine the exact nature of the client's abnormal behavior. It has appeared before in "Valorant" and is typically associated with the client's inability to launch.

Right now, Riot hasn't released any fixes yet to solve the current game problem. But, there is a short-term solution you can use. To fix it, all you need to do is disable or uninstall the antivirus software on your PC. On the other hand, DBLTAP explained that if you want to have a long-term fix, you need to wait for Riot's solution.
