However, these two giant manufacturers could be in a bad situation after two YouTube channels conducted durability tests to see how strong ROG Phone 5 and Redmi Note 10 really are.
The YouTube videos revealed that these two smartphones could easily be broken using fewer efforts and not-so-heavy tools.

ROG Phone 5 vs. Redmi Note 10
The YouTube channel Gupta Information Systems is the one that uploaded the Redmi Note 10 durability test.
The YouTuber started by testing the water-resistance of the product. He removed the SIM card holder and submerged the smartphone in water for five minutes. After that, he discovered that small amounts of water sipped inside the Redmi Note 10.

On the other hand, the vlogger also used a cutter to scratch the sides of the smartphone, revealing that users can easily chip off some of its parts. Aside from this, he was also able to easily snap the device using his bare hands, which is not a good feature.
Meanwhile, the ASUS ROG Phone 5 was also broken easily, as revealed by the popular YouTube channel JerryRigEverything. Jerry, the YouTuber, showed that this smartphone has a weak point along the antenna line, which is located on the side frame.
He continued applying pressure on the device and was able to crack the frame. This leads to serious external and internal damages. Just like the first vlogger, Jerry also used various tools such as a cutter, lighter, and other small, sharp objects.
Which one is weaker?
As of the moment, it is hard to conclude which smartphone flagship is weaker than the other. You also need to remember that the tools used are pretty sharp. This means that the cutter and other objects in the YouTube videos could also do the same to other brands.
But, the teardowns could also be bad news to ASUS since its latest ROG Phone 5 is the company's premium gaming smartphone.
On the other hand, Xiaomi said that its Redmi Note 10 is a durable device that can last for three to four years on average. But, users still need to handle it with care.
