Since spring is here, "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" gets an update. Nintendo has added a range of new items to introduce for this season.

Animal Crossing Cherry Blossom season

Players will notice that a few trees on the island have started to resemble cotton candy as cherry blossom season kicks off from Apr. 1. It is best if players make the most of it while they can as the trees will return back to their usual green color by Apr. 10.

During this time, players will be able to catch floating cherry blossom petals and use them to craft "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" cherry blossom recipes, as noted by VG247.

As for the new items added to the game, "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" players will be able to pick up the Forsythia potted plant item from Nook Shopping for 1,000 bells.

This item is to celebrate the South Korean yearly holiday called Singmogil, which encourages South Korean citizens to plant trees.

The highly anticipated prom items are also being added to the game on Apr. 1. The items consists of sparkly dresses, tiaras, tuxedos, dance shoes, and masquerade masks. The items will be available at the Able Sisters throughout the month.

Nook Shopping is also offering a prom wall, prom sash, and prom flooring for players to host their own events. The fans of this collection better get shopping as it will only be available until the end of April, according to AC Isabelle via Twitter.

Later in the month, to coincide with "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" Nature Day, players will be able to get the Cool Globe item from Nook Shopping between Apr. 15 to Apr. 22 for 2,300 bells.

Meanwhile, players can enjoy the "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" Bunny Day Easter event scheduled on April 4. Some players may have already encountered the mysterious "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" mascot, Zipper T Bunny, hopping around the island to promote the Easter Day event a week before it begins.

For fans of the event, make sure that you collect all of the "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" Bunny Day recipes to get the special prizes at the end.

Cherry Blossom Petals

According to EuroGamer, to get Cherry Blossom Petals in "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," players will have to log in the game from Apr. 1 to Apr. 10 when Cherry Blossoms are in bloom.

During this time, when Cherry Blossom trees are in bloom on your island, you can get Cherry Blossom Petals by searching for pink petals falling. It is random when and where these petals will fall on the island, so be sure to always be on the look out for one.

When you do spot a Cherry Blossom Petal falling, just equip your Net tool and catch the pink petal in the same way that you catch bugs in "Animal Crossing: New Horizons." Petals can be a bit trickier to catch than bugs though, so it could take some practice to master.

Cherry Blossom Petals can be sold for 200 Bells to Timmy & Tommy at Nook's Cranny.

Although it is not much, it is worth considering especially if you already crafted all of the Cherry Blossom items already.
