"Mass Effect 3" embraced the return of the smaller squad member count with at least three or seven for the maximum squadmates allowed. So, given it, players will have to be more careful with whom they include in their squad combination.

Here’s the best squad combination to win every mission. Here’s who to prioritize and who to leave behind depending on the circumstances.

You are probably here after spending hours completing the first and second "Mass Effect." And now, you may find yourself spending too much time picking squadmates for the third installment.

Don't fret, here are the best squad combinations for each mission out there.

'Mass Effect 3:' BEST Squad Combinations

The plethora of characters in "Mass Effect 3" have varying personalities. As such, each warrior will have a different dialogue contribution to the story of the game.

With that, the squad combination definitely matters in each "ME3" mission. There will always be an ideal set of members that match the stories of each quest.

Without any further ado, here are the best squad members for the main missions.

Notably, there are two types of quests, such as the main and the side. To know which is which, please remember that main missions carry the word "Priority" in their name.

Priority Missions BEST Squad Combinations

Here are the characters who fit best on each Priority Mission narrative. RPGSite noted that this type of quest primarily features the main story. As such, it would be best to place the ideal characters to complement the overall story.

Priority: Sur'Kesh

This quest will be showing some characters from old "Mass Effect" installations. With that, it would be best to bring familiar faces for them to reunite with. Garrus, Liara, and Captain Kirrahe are best to be brought together to this mission.

Additionally, GameRant named Garrus as the best squad member.

Priority: The Citadel II

The best character to bring along in this quest is someone who has prior knowledge of Citadel. Garrus will be best for that as he brought some lessons from his C-Sec adventure. Also, James fairly fits the Citadel II as he has some information on the mission too.

Priority: Thessia

Remember to combine Liara and Javik for this "Mass Effect 3" mission to get the best possible dialogue. Although other characters will do good, you will surely miss a lot if you choose other than the two.

Priority: Rannoch

Just make sure to include Tali in this quest. You may also add Javik as he could also be good for it, as he does in any other mission. Nevertheless, do not forget to pair Tali with a character from the "Mass Effect."

  • Priority: Eden Prime
  • Priority: Palaven
  • Priority: Earth
  • Priority: Tuchankahanka

On the other hand, here's how to get the best possible ending of "Mass Effect 3." In other news, "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" includes all three installments, and was released on May 14.
