Upholding its reputation in the community as a publisher of unique gaming experiences, PlayWay SA has released trailers and game demos for a lot of games in the recent Steam Next Fest.

In the Steam Next Fest, a celebration of upcoming games over the course of a week, developers and publishers tease their upcoming games through released demos. Also, players can test these games out and even interact with the devs themselves. The event, which ran from June 16 to 22, was a great opportunity for players to see what's coming in the future and for developers to get early feedback for their games.

Among the games in the recent Steam Fest Next were PlayWay SA entries, check some of them below:

Chernobyl Liquidators Simulator Demo

In bringing unique human experiences into video game form, Live Motion Games and PlayWay SA have created Chernobyl Liquidators Simulator Demo on Steam. Priding itself on being a realistic take on the infamous Chernobyl incident back in 1986, players are immediately warned that there will be no fighting mutants and monsters. Instead, it will be an honest-to-goodness Liquidator work - the term referring to all military and civil personnel who actually worked on the real Chernobyl site.

Judging from the Chernobyl Liquidators Simulator Demo trailer, players are thrust into the eerily abandoned facilities after the aftermath of the Chernobyl incident. Players interact with the environment - open hatches, climb ladders and jump gaps, and even put out fires. Also, actual liquidator work such as scrubbing, disinfecting, and routine maintenance are highlighted in the pre-alpha gameplay trailer.

Animal Shelter Simulator

Who remembers the warm and fun feeling of having that first pet? Whether it's a dog or a cat, or anything in between, these pets are companions for years. However, the sad reality is that not everyone has the same appreciation and care, and here is where animal shelters come in. In Animal Shelter on Steam, by developer Games Incubator and publisher PlayWay SA, you get to be in charge of one of these facilities - taking on the highly challenging yet equally rewarding task of providing care and looking for a new family for these animals.

Find and care for strays and rescues, keep them happy and healthy, and ultimately find a suitable foster family that will be their own for the rest of their lives. Consider yourself warned: it's not all about petting furry dogs and cats; the Animal Shelter trailer teases interacting with an alligator and even working on expanding your own shelter!

Urbek City Builder Demo

Will you repeat the mistakes of the past? Or will you prove to be a greater leader? Check out this new city-building game, Urbrek City Builder on Steam, from Estudios Kremlinois and PlayWay SA. You build your own city, district by district, neighborhood by neighborhood. Plan your city well and define what features come into it - from industrial and business districts to entertainment and nightlife areas.

The new Urbek City Builder trailer shows fun and idyllic place to build cities, sporting a voxel-like aesthetic. However, it's not all fun and games as you soon realize that a city is pretty much a living being in itself, growing and evolving right under your nose. The challenge then arises: can you sustain a growing city without exhausting the natural resources available to you? Through your decisions, develop a sustainable city or one that would race against time to reverse the damages done to the environment.

CountryBalls Heroes Demo

For everyone who grew up with meme culture, you'd definitely be familiar with the countryballs - spherical characters of different sizes, designed with the flag of the country they represent. Innominate Games, Games Operators, and PlayWay SA bring this Internet classic into the front once again with CountryBalls Heroes on Steam.

A mix of city-building with turn-based strategy, players, will be leading their own CountryBall cities and form armies to march forward and dominate the land. Employing a fun and simplistic design reminiscent of SNES RPGs like the old Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest games, but in vivid colors, the CountryBalls Heroes trailer shows different balls such as the big red USSR ball or the unique hairstyle of the TrumpBall.
