Though the holiday season is over, there are still deals to be had. Both the Microsoft Xbox One Assassin's Creed Unity bundle and an Xbox Live 12-month Gold membership card subscription are on sale now at Amazon and eBay, respectively.
The Xbox One was heavily discounted over the holiday season. First, Microsoft announced various bundles which included a discounted price for the Xbox One console along with some of the most popular games. The Assassin's Creed Unity bundle was among the most popular, and was announced at a retail price of $399. By the time Black Friday rolled around, the bundle was discounted to $349 at all major retailers, with Target going one better and reducing the price to just $329 on Black Friday, along with a $50 Target gift card. Other stores offered $50 gift cards as well, and similar pricing applied throughout the holiday season. In fact, Xbox One outsold Sony's PS4 in November largely based on the price cuts.
After Christmas, with Microsoft's bundled holiday pricing set to expire, Best Buy and Amazon both offered a last-shot deal at the discounted bundle, with a $349 price tag and a $50 gift card to boot. But once those deals expired along with the Microsoft bundled discount on Jan.3, the price of the console shot back up to $399, and all major retailers such as Best Buy, Radio Shack and GameStop are selling it at that price. Amazon, however, is still offering a discount on the bundle, currently on sale for just $378. While that is admittedly a much smaller discount than was available over the holidays, it is the only deal around right now for the Xbox bundle. Amazon prices are notorious for fluctuating, so act fast if you want in on this deal.
A better deal awaits if you already picked up your Xbox One and are looking for an Xbox Live 12-month Gold membership card subscription. For a limited time, Alcatel via eBay has it for just $39.99 with free shipping, a full $20 off the retail price of $59.99. These were being offered for a similar discount over the holidays at larger retailers such as Newegg, but with those deals also over, you can still snag similar pricing through this deal from Alcatel, a reputable retailer.
