Not to mention their education and safety online, as those are the things that get compromised with the heavy use of tech.

Inactivity is also one end game of technology as people will get more accustomed to its usage rather than focusing on their fitness and exercise, as they tend to finish work and get exhausted afterward.

According to Health Hub Singapore, there are numerous health effects that technologies cause to children and it is not an excuse to keep them entertained or preoccupied. Children are only developing their minds and bodies for the future, and tech rids them of that. 

From body aches to eye strains, down to cognitive thinking and interpersonal interaction, these are the effects it brings to the table that may cause difficulties in the long run. 

The health problems caused by technology can be prevented, and it is to help children find other ways of alternative entertainment sources such as activities and physical exercise It would keep them preoccupied, having more interactions with people, and keep them off the device for a long time.

Different mental health advocates pointed out that the pandemic brought out a lot of problems for all ages and it is not something that one can deny. Social media apps like Meta's group and TikTok all have issues that affect their users, especially for the content and algorithm it has for its consumption. 

It is known that social media applications cause depression, anxiety, and more for people as they continue to consume them, and it is not healthy now. 

Especially as people are stuck in their homes and advised to stay there even during the holidays to avoid the transmission of the Omicron variant and other threats of the disease. Nevertheless, mental health is a massive factor in the everyday life of a person and social media does a number on them. 

The good thing to do here is to take a detox every once in a while, even for a few days, as it would help in relaxing and freeing one's thoughts, apart from seeking help from experts and professionals.
