Facebook and Instagram introduced an option that links to the accounts of the users of the two social media apps to introduce features that work on both platforms.
One of which is a way to cross-post, allowing users to post content both on Facebook and Instagram simultaneously in a single click, as per the online article by LifeWire.

All you need to have is a web browser, it doesn't really matter if it is Safari, Chrome, or Microsoft Edge as long as it could open the website of Instagram.
- Open your preferred web browser.
- Then, open the website of Instagram.
- Log in to your account that you want to unlink with Facebook.
- Next, click your profile picture, which is found in the upper right corner of the website.
- Select the Settings option from the menu.
- After which, go to the Accounts Center.
- Then, click Accounts and profiles.
- From there, click your Facebook account.
- Then, click the Remove from Account Center button.
- And lastly, select the Continue button to apply changes.

If you prefer to unlink your Instagram and Facebook on your iPhone or Android smartphone, simply follow these steps.
- Open the iOS or Android Instagram app.
- Then, tap on your profile picture, which is found in the bottom right corner of the app.
- Select the three lines menu icon for iOS users or the three-dots option for Android phone owners on the top right corner.
- After which, tap Settings.
- Then, go to the Accounts Center.
- Next, tap Accounts & profiles.
- And click on your Facebook account.
- Then, tap Remove from Accounts Center.
