Zoom Now Lets Users Sign Documents

Zoom or online meetings in other platforms, such as Google Meet and FaceTime, have taken over face-to-face interactions due to the raging COVID-19 pandemic, which forced most of us to stay at the confines of our homes.

Although companies are slowly ditching online meetings as COVID-19 infection eases, Zoom is now making it easier to sign documents in video calls.

As per a news story by TechCrunch, Zoom and DocuSign collectively announced that they are now making signing documents in online meetings easier and more seamless than ever before.

Essentially, the new integration tool between the teleconferencing software and DocuSign allows its users to sign documents without having to leave a Zoom meeting.

It makes the tedious process of signing documents more simplified, making the lives of those in remote work conditions more trouble-free.

As such, employees and companies would no longer need to meet face-to-face just to simplify the signing process of various papers-sans the need to go out from the confines of their homes.

DocuSign further echoed the struggles of most folks out there when it comes to remote work, saying that the workforce despises the need to use multiple apps when signing an agreement.

Not to mention that they even have to go back and forth from multiple apps and emails just to send the document that they have signed.

The senior vice president and head of eSignature products at DocuSign, Jerome Levadoux, said in the same blog post that the COVID-19 pandemic has further highlighted the need for an improvement in current productivity tools.

The DocuSign exec went on to add that the needs of consumers have been rapidly evolving as well.

That said, DocuSign developed a tool that would allow Zoom users to sign documents inside their online teleconferences.

How to Sign Documents Inside Zoom Meetings

To cut to the chase, here's how DocuSign on Zoom works to allow document signing inside online meetings.

  • Then, add DocuSign.
  • After which, enter a Zoom meeting.
  • Next, click the DocuSign button.
  • It should now allow participants to sign documents in the online meeting.
