NEW YORK, NY - AUGUST 07: An advertisement for Apple Music is posted on the streets of Manhattan on August 7, 2015 in New York City. After launching in June Apple announced it has attracted 11 million users during its trial period.

Apple Music Spatial Audio Feature

Apple Music's Spatial Audio feature debuted way back in June 2021, along with the Lossless Music support of the streaming service.

It was first announced during the WWDC event of the Cupertino giant last year, promising that users of the service could soon listen to their music in an immersive experience.

Now, as per a news story by Billboard, the iPhone maker is claiming that its Spatial Audio listeners have massively increased since it was first released last July.

The Vice President of Apple Music and Beat, Oliver Schusser, said in an interview that they "now have more than half of the worldwide Apple Music subscriber base listening to spatial audio."

The Apple Music exec further noted that the number of people listening to Spatial Audio is "growing really, really fast."

He went on to add that their team is actually expecting it to grow even more, but it has since been going beyond their initial expectations.

According to a report by Apple Insider, the Cupertino-based tech giant believes that the Spatial Audio feature of Apple Music is what actually sets the streaming service apart from its rivals.

However, it is worth noting that the said feature has yet to support the whole library of Apple Music. On the flip side, its Lossless feature now includes all of the songs in the streaming service.

To further prove that Apple Music's immersive audio experience has been an effective tool to increase its overall listeners globally, the Cupertino tech giant shared the increasing numbers of some remastered songs on its services.
