WASHINGTON, DC - MAY 16: U.S. President Donald Trump waits on the arrival of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the White House May 16, 2017 in Washington, DC. Trump and Erdogan met in the Oval Office to discuss a range of bilateral issues.

Although it became the most popular application on Apple App Store after it debuted on Feb. 21, fans were disappointed since many of them were unable to create their accounts.

Most of the users were put on waiting lists. On the other hand, some individuals said that they were having issues when inputting their personal information, such as phone number and birth date.

Now, another problem arose. This time, the issue is in the free speech platform's censorship.

Truth Social Bans Accounts Due To Usernames?

According to Mashable's latest report, a user was already banned because of the username he used to create his Truth Social account.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump stands at his podium during the Presidential Debate at Hofstra University on September 26, 2016 in Hempstead, New York. The first of four debates for the 2016 Election, three Presidential and one Vice Presidential, is moderated by NBC's Lester Holt.

Because of this, many people already criticize the app as a free speech platform. Well, the affected individual is not really a commoner.

Matt Ortega, a popular web developer, is the one who was banned on the rising social media site. He is also well-known because of his parody Twitter account, pretending as a cow owned by Republican Rep. Devin Nunes.

Truth Social banned Ortega because he used the username "@DevinNunesCow" to create his account.

What Truth Social Bans

As of the moment, Truth Social hasn't released its official Community Guidelines. On its official website, TMTG (Trump Media and Technology Group) only states that the platform encourages open, free, and honest global conversation.

However, it seems like there are some special cases. Ortega's account was banned since his username includes the name of Devin Nunes, who is currently the CEO of TMTG.

"Your account @DevinNunesCow has been banned. After careful review, we have decided to delete your account permanently due to Truth Social community guideline violations," says the email message received by Ortega.

In other news, it was recently speculated that Truth Social uses censor bots to make the platform more family-friendly. Meanwhile, Trump's official Truth Social account was previously attacked by hackers.
