"Pokemon Scarlet and Violet" was revealed by the latest Pokemon Broadcast event, saying that it will be the new main series Pokemon game of the popular title franchise.

It will be the next game after "Pokemon Sword and Shield," which was released back in 2019. The new title is expected to be playable in the popular Nintendo Switch consoles.

However, the exact release date of the Pokemon game this 2022 is not yet confirmed.

"Welcome to the open world of Pokémon. Embark on an open-world adventure in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, arriving on Nintendo," captioned The Official Pokemon YouTube channel.

One of these is that its graphics are quite similar to the "Pokemon Legends: Arceus." But, game experts said that this might not be the case since the trailer doesn't offer the entire gameplay.

Meanwhile, other critics said that since the trailer's description said that the new Pokemon title is an open-world, there's a high chance it will be similar to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

When it comes to the characters, Lucario, Hoppip, Drifloon, Meowth, and other familiar pocket-monsters who are already featured in other Pokemon titles are available in the new "Pokemon Scarlet and Violet."

New Pokemon Characters Will Arrive

Aside from the familiar characters, a picture frame revealed the game's trio monsters at the end of the trailer.

All of them are still unnamed since they are new. The first one looks like a grass-type Pokemon based on a cat.

On the other hand, the remaining two pocket monsters include a fire-type dinosaur-like character and a duck, who seems to be a psychic-type or a flying-type Pokemon.
