Second, the public posts that you will share will be set to "Friends" from "Public." In this way, the possible intruders could not be updated on your daily life as a result. This would safeguard you from potential spying incidents on the platform.

Moreover, Facebook will not show all details in your account. Certain sections will not be viewable to the public. 

Other visitors cannot view your Story. The tag review will also be switched off as part of its limitation to the public.

How to Lock Your Facebook Profile on Desktop

1. First, go to the official website of Facebook to start locking your profile. 
2. From the account section, go to the right corner on the top. Tap your name next to your display photo to access the profile page.
3. From the profile page, you need to search for the tabs row just below your name.
4. Tap the three dots beside "Edit Profile."
5. Now that you're on the menu select Lock Profile.
6. After that, click the "Lock Your Profile" button below to confirm the changes.
7. Tap "OK" to close the lock profile window.

If you want to revert your locked profile to the original, you can do that by simply tapping the three-dots menu and going to the Unlock Profile.

How to Lock Your Facebook Profile on Mobile

For iPhone or Android users, here's what you need to follow :

1. Open the FB app from your smartphone.
2. Here, you can see three horizontal lines.
3. Now that you're on the menu screen click your profile.
4. Tap the three-dot icon to access the Profile Settings page.
5. Next, click Lock Profile. 
6. Inside it, you will find another "Lock Your Profile" at the bottom. Tap it.
