Netflix Autoplay

The Autoplay feature provides users a preview of the show or movie while they are still browsing. What's more, it also automatically plays the next episode after finishing one, as per an online story by Android Authority.

Both of these Autoplay functionalities on Netflix as turns out are annoying for some users. On the other hand, some might want these features, but for some reason it's turned off on their account, making it seem that it is unavailable.

Thankfully, according to a report by LifeWire, the Netflix Autoplay feature could be manually turned off, stopping the automatic previews and autoplay of the next episodes, which some consider annoying.

On the flip side, those who might have been missing the Autoplay function could also turn on the feature beneath the settings of the streaming service.

Netflix Autoplay: How to Stop it

Without any further ado, here's how to stop the annoying Autoplay features on Netflix, which ruins the streaming experience for some users.

  • Open your Netflix account on a web browser.
  • Then, select the Profile box found in the top right corner.
  • From there, select the "Manage Profiles" button.
  • After which, click your profile or the one you want to turn off the Autoplay feature.
  • From the Playback Setting menu, uncheck the "Autoplay next episode in a series on all devices" and "Autoplay previous while browsing on all devices."
  • Then, click "Save" to apply changes.

Upon doing so, the annoying Autoplay feature should no longer be enabled.

How to Turn On Netflix Autoplay

On the other hand, if the Autoplay function is not yet turned on on your account, and you wish to have it, here's how to enable it:

  • Sign in to your Netflix account on a web browser.
  • Then, open your profile settings from the upper right corner.
  • From there, go to the "Profile & Parental Controls" section.
  • After which, click the Change button.
  • Then, check the boxes beside the "Autoplay next episode in a series on all devices" and "Autoplay previews while browsing all devices" options.
  • And lastly, click the "Save" button to apply the changes.

That's it. Netflix Autoplay should start doing its job after following these steps.
