YouTube Comments 2022: How to Find the Comment You Left on a Video

If you left a common on a video on YouTube and want to find it again, you can do so easily. You can view your comments on both the desktop and mobile versions.

Find Your YouTube Comment

The steps to find your YouTube comment is the same for both mobile and desktop versions. First, open a browser on your computer or phone and launch the YouTube Comment History site. If you haven't done it already, log in to your YouTube account on the site.

As soon as you're logged in, you will see a "YouTube Comments" page displaying all of the comments that you have posted on YouTube videos, according to HowtoGeek.

Your most recent comment will appear at the top, and you can view more comments by scrolling down. If you wish to delete the comment, you can do so by clicking "X" in the comment's top-right corner. Note that YouTube will take a couple of hours to fully remove your comment from the video.

To be able to edit the contents of your comment, click on the "Commented On" option and click the video link to go to the video page.

On the page, your comment will be highlighted at the top part. To edit it, tap the three dots next to the comment and select "Edit."

Change the contents of your comment, then save the changes by clicking "Save." That is how you can find, edit, and delete your comments on the video hosting site, according to Business Insider.

While going through the comments, if you come across a comment that you believe had violet the guidelines, you can report it to YouTube for the platform to review and take action against it.

How to Report a YouTube Video

Every minute, more than 300 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube, which means that there is no way for Google to be able to review them all.

That is why Google allows users to report videos that go against the guidelines. YouTube's human moderators, who are on duty 24/7 will review it, according to ALPHR.

If it is against the Guidelines, it will get removed and the channel will face sanctions. Too many violations and the whole channel will be removed from the platform.

If you wish to report a video, note that the option to do so is slightly hidden, so it can be easy to overlook if you do not know that it is there.

First, you need to be logged in to your Google account so you can report a video. After you log in, just click on the three little dots beside the video.

In the popup menu, just click the "Report" link. To report a video using the mobile app, you need to tap the video to bring up the options and controls. Next, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen, then choose "Report."

Whichever platform you report the video on, you need to provide a bit of information as to why it needs to be removed. Choose the reason you think it violated the guidelines, then click the "Next" button.

Add the information that explains the issues with the video that you wish to report, then choose "Report."
