Meta's Facebook Reels is featuring a new venture on the platform and the company revealed that it will allow third-party video sharing capabilities for the platform. The new venture means that it will allow other users to bring their content from other platforms to Facebook Reels, and this opens up plenty of possibilities for showcasing their videos.

The Facebook company announced this as part of its efforts to expand more of Facebook Reels' features and it will focus on integrating other services into the platform. For now, it has limited capabilities for partner applications that will allow this service to arrive on the platform, focusing on the integration for their needs.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg speaks about the new Facebook News feature at the Paley Center For Media on October 25, 2019 in New York City. Facebook News, which will appear in a new dedicated section on the Facebook app, will offer stories from a mix of publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, as well as other digital-only outlets.

Facebook's partners include Smule, Vita, and VivaVideo only, but that does not mean that the connections are closing their doors to other companies. Fellow vertical video platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts may soon bring their services to the platform, and it is through the Developer's feature that the company will bring to other companies.

Facebook Reels, TikTok, and MORE

Facebook Reels officially launched this early 2022 and the company offered the feature for all needs of the content creator to bring their content to the social media platform. Meta's Facebook Reels are similar to Instagram's Reels and the vertical videos provide a new format for everyone to enjoy, shying away from the horizontal or landscape layout.

TikTok and Facebook are now competitors in the social media industry, with reports saying that there have been plots against the Chinese platform. The report expanded on how Meta created a campaign that played against TikTok and its existence, with the social media app from ByteDance being one of the top services in the world.

Facebook Reels showcasing different third-party video streaming applications on its platform is massive, particularly as it allows people to access different content on their platform. It makes them something like YouTube that users can use to upload plenty of their videos to its streams, allowing content creators to have the freedom and accessibility of uniting their platforms.
