Infinity Ward updated their profile picture and header photo on Twitter, and while the display photo is only black, its other image has some context. At first glance, it seems like a dirty image that got blacked out by the company but increasing the brightness will give more clues and information to it, despite being unrecognizable.

A United Kingdom-based YouTuber and gamer said that increasing the brightness of the header photo will give more context to it, and it portrays Ghost, a fan-favorite character from 2009's "Modern Warfare 2." The series is getting remade, and this new game also follows the footsteps of the original title.

Ghost's character on the header is a big hint of the upcoming game, especially as the soldier first appeared in the 2009 game of the same title.

Activision and Infinity Ward may be planning for the "Modern Warfare 2" for 2022, and it may be the next game before the "CoD" franchise takes a break for 2023.

'Call of Duty and its Franchise

There was a report from several insiders that the "Call of Duty's" franchise is taking a break from its annual releases, focusing on its next title to skip 2023's release date and resume by 2024. However, no specific titles or series were mentioned in the report for a stop in the franchise, so it is unsure what game would cease to exist by then.

For now, users may enjoy the existing titles from 'Call of Duty available to them, especially with the current "Call of Duty Vanguard" and the "Call of Duty Warzone." Gamers are also interested in the idea of a "Warzone 2" release from Activision Blizzard and the other companies involved in its development, but there is no news regarding this yet.

Despite a dooming pause in its franchise, "Call of Duty" may be gearing up for a new release this year, with the "Modern Warfare II" title that will be a sequel to the 2019 remake of the same title. Nevertheless, there are no official confirmations regarding this new game, and it may be so that the company only has this title for its conceptualization.
