Hawaiian Airlines is now offering free in-flight WiFi aboard its air travels on future trips. SpaceX's Starlink fulfills the satellite internet connection for the passengers and crew members' use. The in-flight internet would be available to all passengers of the trip and would work despite the plane hovering across the Pacific and en-route towards the US or vice versa.

Starlink provides Hawaiian Airlines with the capabilities to connect to its satellite internet for connectivity even when embarking on its transpacific travels. Hawaiian Airlines recently announced that it is now offering a complimentary in-flight WiFi service aboard its aircraft, and users may access it via Starlink.

The company promised that it would be a high-speed and low-latency connection when accessing the web and its other parameters despite flying over the Pacific Ocean and the company's other destinations.

"With Starlink, the inflight experience is greatly simplified so that once passengers step onboard the plane the internet works seamlessly throughout their flight." says SpaceX Vice President of Starlink Commercial Sales Jonathan Hofeller.

In-Flight Internet: Starlink's Availability Anytime and Anywhere

According to CNET, Hawaiian Airlines is already testing Starlink's internet connectivity onboard its aircraft, and the company expects better bandwidth and latency from the satellite connections than current options.

Satellite internet will ensure that everyone is capable of connecting at any given place or time, and SpaceX will not limit its availability to geo-restrictions like present services.

Starlink's Satellite Internet Availability

One of the countries that enjoyed the benefits of Starlink is Ukraine, especially with the crisis that it faced with its neighboring country, Russia, that cut off its online connections to the outside world.

Besides centering its satellites on the country for connection, Starlink brought on-the-go charging for its satellite internet for connectivity and access.

The company regularly launches some 50 satellites on its SpaceX Cargo Dragon to add to its current fleet. It aims to grow its fleet to a massive number come the following years, and it seeks to provide the world with a fast internet connection that they can access at any time and place its subscribers wish to go.

However, Starlink is not only for home use, as it also aims to bring connectivity even in the wilderness or while soaring more than 30,000 feet in the air aboard an aircraft. It will not matter if one is flying economy or coach, as everyone in the plane would have access to a fast internet service that will stay with them as the signal comes from above.
