Snap has launched Pixy for everyone to enjoy and as previously mentioned, it brings a selfie drone that will follow users around and take photos for them. Through this, the company is introducing a new way to take a selfie instead of the traditional use of the face camera and extending one's hands to take the photo.

The hovering drone will line up with the person's preferred view and take the picture for them.

The device has many options to choose from, with its top dial resembling that of digital cameras and DSLRs available in the market now.

Pixy has four rotors to help with flying, and it hovers mainly at a person's eye level so it would not take as much power as it needs for the device. The device is user-friendly and is not loud when operating.

It likewise has no permit requirements for its use. However, this will still depend on the policies of a particular state or area when using drones like the Pixy.

The Pixy has a dedicated website that brings its preorders to the public, and the pocket-sized drone will arrive in 11 to 12 weeks, according to the website.

Users can choose between the Pixy alone for $229 or opt for the Pixy Flight Pack, which includes the selfie drone, bumper and lanyard carry pack, dual battery charger, and extra rechargeable battery.

The selfie drone is available in the United States and France as of press time, but this will depend on its stock availability.

Snapchat's Features for Everyone

Snapchat is riding high on its massive valuation that puts the company on top of other social media platforms for its daily active user count (DAU). It beat Facebook and Twitter for their last quarter, showing that Snap dominated the market again. The company shared this on its recent earnings call for its investors and the public.

The company also advocated bringing helpful information to the public. Its recent feature release for its Lens is the ASL or learning the American Sign Language in the app. It would be a helpful AR tool that will have people practice the way they do sign language, mainly focusing on letters and giving the challenge to help them out.

Its recent massive quarter is a significant milestone for the company, and it shows the dominance of Snapchat in its social media operations. The company celebrates the last quarter with its recent selfie drone that will follow users around and be their paparazzi, taking photos of them and sending them straight to the application.
