'Among Us' Popularity

The social destruction game by Innersloth became a massively popular gaming title in 2020, wherein several countries around the world had to implement lockdowns to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

During that time, people were forced to stay at home as vaccines have yet to be released to the public for emergency use.

Thus, various governments globally took drastic measures that closed down businesses and asked their citizens to stay at home to avoid uncontrolled infections.

While people had no choice but to spend most of their days inside the confines of their homes, some have taken the chance to spend time playing online games to socialize and kill time off.

As a result, an online game, which debuted way back in 2018, "Among Us," has taken the world by storm as folks at home started inviting their friends and family to play it.

With the massive influx of players on "Among Us," popular streamers like Pokimane and Disguised Toast have successfully taken the chance to create videos featuring the Innersloth game almost every day.
