Apple AirTag has helped an Australian man in finding his stolen objects worth $10,000.

Finding a lost item can be tiring and time-consuming, especially if you just search alone. Some people seek help from lost-and-found groups, while others have some tools to detect them.

The case of Graham Tait might sound familiar to some people, and it has proven that this device can do wonders on its own capability. According to a report by 9News, the Sydney-based resident was on his holiday this week when he accidentally lost his items in his car.

Later, he found out that they were stolen by the time his car was parked at a hotel. He also saw that his car had been broken and someone had stolen his camera and laptop bag.

Luckily, these two items have a connected AirTags to each of them. The searching for the lost equipment became much easier, according to Tait.

For those unfamiliar with this device, an Apple Airtag resembles a round-shaped tracking tool that relies on a Bluetooth connection.

If you are using an Apple phone or any gadget, you can easily connect this tracker to your device and begin searching for an object.

How Graham Find His Stolen Objects

According to Tait, he relied on the 'Find My App' to detect the stolen items from a hotel room where he had been staying for a while. He added that these missing objects have an attached Apple AirTag.

Upon using the Find My app, he immediately discovered the exact location of the items. To be more specific, he tracked down the iPhone, which has been used inside a particular room. It was the same device that the alleged robbers had used in the heist.

In the end, he recovered all the items that he needed, including the GoPro, camera, laptop, and more. As of writing, the authorities are hunting down the alleged person who stole the said items.

It's indeed amazing how a $45 device can make a huge difference in people's lives. With technology on the go, searching for a missing item nowadays has been much faster and more convenient.

Apple AirTag is Sending False Alarms to Users

While an AirTag is a useful tool, it's still not yet perfect as anyone can imagine. It's plagued with bugs that need to be fixed as soon as possible.

The latest issue regarding this tracker is that some users tend to receive false alarms from it. According to Gizchina, the most common complaints involve sending notifications that they are being tracked.

It's an alarming case, especially for people who avoid getting stalked. The wrong signal that it sends could mean that the product should need further fixing. Apple should be aware that this tool is flawed, and it needs to add more improvements in the future to avoid a similar incident.
