"Looks like it'll be a 2-year wait before our early 2021 order delivers. This is the 8th estimated delivery window for our MX," said one of the affected buyers via her official Twitter (@ItsKimJava) post.

Another once confirmed that he saw the sudden delivery date change, which is now around Dec. 2022 to April 2023.

With the latest schedule pushback, Tesla has now made at least eight changes for the Tesla Model X delivery window.

Now, here are the Tesla consumers that need to wait until 2023.

Tesla Model X Delivery Date Pushed To 2023

According to InsideEVs' latest report, the affected Tesla buyers are those who ordered the refreshed Tesla Model X back in 2021 (late October 2021 to be exact).

With the new 2023 delivery date, Tesla Model X buyers' waiting time is now two years.

On the other hand, consumers who will purchase the popular Model X or Model S base models need are expected to have an earlier delivery date, which is around Nov. 2022 to February 2023.

Since the new delivery dates are now farther away, some consumers may look for other Tesla models that can arrive earlier.

If you are one of them, it is suggested that you purchase the Tesla Model X Plaid since this EV is expected to be delivered before 2022 ends (around Aug. to Oct. 2022 to be exact).

Why Tesla Model X Delivery is Delayed?

Elon Musk recently confirmed that one of the major reasons why the Tesla Model X delay is happening is because of supplier-related issues.

Aside from this, another problem involves stopping the production of old Tesla Model X units to manufacture the refreshed versions.

The billionaire explained that it is a bad move to halt the production of the original Model X units for around eight months, especially since the demand is still high, as reported by Electrek

But, it seems like the delayed Model X delivery time is not expected to affect the business in a serious manner. In 2021, the giant EV maker was able to deliver almost one million Tesla Model 3 and Model Y units.

Compared to these two EV models, Model S and Model X units only reached around 25,000 deliveries. If you want to see further details about the issues causing the Model X delivery time delay, you can visit this link

Meanwhile, the giant automaker confirmed that the Tesla Semi electric trucks are now open for pre-orders and reservations.

On the other hand, the Tesla overheating CPU issue led to a massive EV recall as experts warned it can put drivers in danger.
