TikTok is launching a new feature on its platform called the "Live Subscription," and it is all about getting the chance to support live streamers and content creators in their online operations. It follows something that Twitch launched on its platform years ago, focusing on a subscription program that will give users exclusive access to content and other features.

TikTok announced earlier today that it is launching a new feature on its platform, and it would focus on the so-called "Live Subscriptions" that would bring them exclusive access to live streams. The subscription would also focus on the live streaming feature that would come as a first for TikTok once it launches soon.

The company posted videos about its upcoming Live Subscriptions via its platform, and it explained how the feature would work once users access it under a subscription fee. It would be like any other subscription that they need to pay every month, with TikTok charging their accounts on several payment channels or via credit cards.

What are Live Subscriptions? Twitch-Like Feature Coming

TikTok has a dedicated Live Creator account that talks about the many offers of the upcoming feature by Thursday, May 26. Live Subscriptions will help users support their favorite content creator, and it would add to their monetization and earnings via their live streams.

It is similar to Twitch's subscription feature on its live streaming platform that will give users exclusive access to their content online.

TikTok and its Platform

TikTok evolved from a video-sharing platform to a massive social network where people can talk, share videos, post different content, and a marketplace for all finds and more. Now, the company is seeing massive popularity as the "Gen Z" enjoys the platform as it is one of the trendiest social media where they hang out and browse.

Now, content creators also flooded the TikTok sphere, and there are many ways to increase viewership and stitch videos so they can collaborate and share their content from one fanbase to another. There are also advertisements on TikTok's platform that allows different content creators and the company to earn more via ads.

TikTok has grown into a powerful platform now compared to a year earlier, and it is still unsure of its operations here in the country.

Live Subscriptions will change a lot on TikTok once it launches later this week, and it will have a split of content for users that need to subscribe for more exclusive content. However, it would not change the videos found on their "For You" page and those that they follow on the platform, with a chance to experience more in the live streams.
