Gamers, you're in for a treat-LG is releasing a 48-in OLED monitor that will be a huge game-changer.

The 48GQ900 UltraGear OLED monitor features a 4K UHD resolution, 0.1ms response rate, and 120Hz refresh rate. Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 users will only be limited to a maximum of 120Hz, though, but this depends on the game and settings.

The logo of South Korea's LG Electronics is seen in front of the company's headquarters in Seoul on April 5, 2021.

"Perfect for PC and console gaming, the new model offers the superb color reproduction and contrast of OLED and features LG's Anti-Glare Low Reflection (ALGR) coating, which reduces visual distractions so that users can focus their attention fully on the gameplay," LG said.

However, that shouldn't be a problem. They will still be able to have a smooth experience with the deep blacks and vibrant colors of the newest LG OLED TV.

Other Features

The monitor comes with a remote for the ultimate convenience. It comes with a huge dial and easy buttons that will let gamers change video inputs, audio outputs, mute, toggle, etc. easily. And it is also compatible with Nvidia's G-Sync and AMD's FreeSync tech to avoid aby screen tearing.

The Chinese product page of LG also shows that you can summon an on-screen crosshair and FPS counter with it if you like.

The latest gamining monitor by the Korean company will have a high contrast ratio with moderate moderate maximum brightness. It can reproduce up to 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and also, it will come with its proprietary Anti-Glare Low Reflection (AGLR) coating for an enhanced viewing experience.

It comes with built-in 20W speakers, three HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, one upstream USB 3.0 port for connecting to your PC, two downstream USB 3.0 ports, and a mic-supporting headphone jack.

For easier placement on your desk, it has a two-footed angular stand.

How Much Is It?

Unfortunately, there is no price yet for this massive LG gaming monitor. There is also no release date information outside of a Japan launch yet as well.

According to the company's press release, "The new LG 48GQ900 will be available starting this month in Japan with key markets in North America, Europe, and Asia to follow."

Other Gaming Monitors by LG

LG also introduced two new 31.5-inch Nano IPS displays with ATW polarizers with 4K UHD (3840x2160) and QHD resolutions. Both monitors are Nvidia G-Sync compatible, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certified.

"The Nano IPS1ms gaming display is LG's first 4K model to implement ATW Polarizer technology, which improves the pane's ability to ensure lively, accurate colors and deep, dark blacks across a wide viewing angle," the company said.
