Twitter's TweetDeck will soon be removed from Mac devices. The social media giant confirmed this decision on June 1.

For those who are not familiar with TweetDeck, it is a dashboard application service that allows Twitter users to manage their accounts.

When it was first launched, TweetDeck was an independent app. However, Twitter Inc. was able to acquire it later on. It specifically works by enabling users to see multiple timelines in one interface.

Twitter's Help Center explained that TweetDeck offers advanced features that further enhance user experiences. But, it seems like this app will soon change once it is canceled on Mac devices.

"We're saying goodbye to TweetDeck for the Mac app to focus on making TweetDeck even better and testing our new Preview," said Twitter via its official announcement.

Twitter TweetDeck Cancelation

According to 9To5Mac's latest report, Twitter will be removing the TweetDeck app from Mac devices after July 1. The social media company explained that they will cancel this application service so that they can further focus on the so-called Preview.

Twitter said that Preview would soon roll out in the next few months. But, the exact date is not yet confirmed. On the other hand, the social media giant clarified that TweetDeck will still be available.

However, Mac users can only access this service via web browsers. Of course, many individuals shared disappointment.

One of them asked how removing the functional Mac app version will make TweetDeck any better. Twitter responded to the user, saying that they are trying to wind down the app so more features can be integrated into TweetDeck.
